Monday's Child is 30 years old. The program began on the first Monday in May, 1980 and has introduced about 1500 adoptable children. Nearly a thousand of those children have been placed in permanent homes, and 14-year-old Megan hopes to be added to that list.
Megan is an attractive, appealing youngster with a lot of energy, a contagious laugh, and a pleasant, sweet spirit. She enjoys activities common to teenage girls, including socializing with friends, shopping at the mall, and texting.
Those who know her best say Megan shows strong character and perseverance, even amidst defeat. She is very honest about herself and doesn't try to make excuses. Megan exhibits a maturity beyond her chronological age. She is a writer, and says her poems are about life and it's hard struggles, but also about happiness.
Megan wants to be adopted in a family with a children. She needs parents who can provide strong support and guarantee her a lifetime of unconditional love.
