The Knoxville Zoo is looking for volunteers to take part in its FrogWatch program, which launches in February.
The Knoxville Zoo chapter of the program is part of a national program coordinated by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
Volunteers will monitor frog calls to help identify and address threats to frogs due to environmental factors such as habitat loss, water pollution, climate change, disease and introduced species.
FrogWatch volunteers will be required to monitor a site twice a week for at least 30 minutes after dark from February through August.
One day of training is required. Training sessions will be held on Saturday, Feb. 2 and Sunday, Feb. 3 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
The program is open to volunteers ages 13 and older.

Burgers for Young-Williams
Every Monday in January, when someone buys a Kobe burger at the Orangery for $10, the restaurant will donate $5 to Young-Williams Animal Center.
The money will help cover adoption fees for those wishing to take a new pet home.
