UT Hosts Recyclympics
Recyclympics promotes UT's participation in RecycleMania, in which colleges across the nation and Canada are ranked in an eight-week competition based on the amount of recycling and trash collected each week.
UT is battling the University of Florida Gators for the third year in a row to see who can recycle the most. The latest tally shows the Volunteers have recycled 108,520 pounds of waste to the Gators' 277,489. The Recyclympics is the Vols' chance to boost excitement about recycling and improve UT's standings before RecycleMania ends on March 27.
RecycleMania aims to increase recycling participation by students, faculty and staff and raise awareness about the significance of waste reduction programs on campuses. To learn more about the tournament and keep current on scores, visit www.recyclemaniacs.org
