The ladies from DIY on the Fly want to take you to the Ukraine with this beautiful artwork on eggs.
Margot Potter and Cheryl Burchett always amaze me with the things they come up with. It's like my own live Pinterest page. So with Easter right around the corner the ladies created perfect peeps and now they are brightening your basket with a Ukrainian folk designs.
The word pysanka comes from the verb pysaty, "to write", as the designs are not painted on, but written with beeswax.
Of course we don't all have beeswax and the perfect dye, but don't worry you can create your own lovely designs with crayons and dye from the store. Don't let crafty crafts get you down.. try it! Although by looking at Cheryl's fingers, you might want to wear some gloves and put paper down if you are messy like me!
Cheryl will have this on her website very soon, because there is no way I could cram all that craft into one little TV segment. Thanks for stopping by and create happy.
