BKW Seasonings will host BKW Wing Fest on Saturday, June 22 from noon - 8 p.m. at Worlds Fair Park in downtown Knoxville.

Knoxville Alzheimer's Tennessee Walk

East Tennessee families can join with hundreds of others and take a stand against Alzheimer's disease on Saturday, April 13.

Registration for the annual fundraising walk begins at 9 a.m. Opening ceremonies kick off at 10 a.m. and the walk starts at 11 a.m.

The walk starts at Laurel Church of Christ at 3457 Kingston Pike. It's about 1 1/2 miles long and winds along the Third Creek Greenway.

A park and ride service will be available at nearby Second Presbyterian Church at 2829 Kingston Pike.

Talahi Plant Sale

The Knoxville Garden Club and Garden Study Club will host the 49th annual Talahi Plant Sale on Saturday, April 13.

The event runs from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Lakeshore Park.

Admission is free and the sale will be held rain or shine.

This year's theme is "Petals from the Past."

Gardeners will be able to choose from hundreds of perennials, annuals, wildflowers, shrubs and herbs for sale.

Those with gardening questions can seek answers from experienced local gardeners in the "Ask an Expert" booth.

Plants aren't the only products available to peruse or purchase. The Marketplace consignment area will feature local vendors who sell garden accessories and gifts. The Green Elephant section will include a collection of gently used gardening tools and accessories for sale.

The Kudzu Cafe and Sugar Shack will provide lunch and snacks for hungry shoppers.

Animals in Action

The Knoxville Zoo has revamped its "Animals in Action" show for the busy spring and summer season.

The show highlights how well animals adapt to their environments.

Guests can watch some of the Knoxville Zoo's most popular residents in action, including Einstein, the zoo's talkative African grey parrot; Kachina, a Harris hawk; and James and Ramona, two dogs adopted from Young-Williams Animal Center.

The shows are held Wednesday through Sunday at 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., weather permitting.

The show is included as part of general zoo admission.
