The Oak Ridge Nursery School was built 65 years ago. The government built the school for the children of the people who were working on the Manhattan Project.
According to Christine Rehder, who is on the Board of the School, the "children were dropped off at all times of the day and night and the school kept hours to help out the parents."
The school is funded by tuition and "the kindness of people." They are having an Anniversary Party Thursday. For more information check out their website discoveret.org/orns/
