FedEx expects Monday, Dec. 10 to be its busiest shipping day of the year and in its history.
The Memphis-based company estimated it would ship 19 million package in 25 hours, which is almost twice the number sent in 2005.
On an average day, FedEx processes 9 million packages.
In order to make sure packages arrive on time, FedEx has staffed 11 meteorologists for its busiest day ever.
If people want to ship by ground, FedEx said they must send their presents by Dec. 17.
