Officials arrest 25 after drug bust in Sevier Co.

Officials with the Sevier County Sheriffs Office, arrested 25 people for various drug related charged on Tuesday.

According to a release, the arrests were made after a six month undercover operation. Officials began the arrested at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday and continued throughout the day.

Ten people were arrested for one count for sale and delivery of Schedule II Oxycodone. Those included were 29-year-old Wendy Merwin of Sevierville, 63-year-old Russell Merwin of Sevierville, 33-year-old Cheyenne Lowe of Sevierville, 27-year-old Summer Lowe of Sevierville, 18-year-old Toby Jamar Stokely of Sevierville, 22-year-old Craig Logan Vercher of Gatlinburg, 24-year-old Richard Evans of Sevierville, 20-year-old Lacey Rayfield of Sevierville, 39-year-old Kim Stallings of Strawplains, and 50-year-old Michael McDonnell of Gatlinburg.

Jackson Rodman, 19, of Pigeon Forge also faces charges for one count for sale and delivery of Schedule II Oxycodone as well as a charge for one count casual exchange.

Carl Scarlett, 23, of Dandridge faces charges for one count for sale and delivery Schedule II Oxycodone as well as a charge for one count for sale and delivery of Schedule II Methadone.

Officials arrested five and charged them with two counts for sale and delivery of Schedule II Oxycodone. Those included were 29-year-old Curtis Lawson of Sevierville, 57-year-old John Edes of Sevierville, 18-year-old Erynn Rae Smith of Pigeon Forge, 49-year-old Donnie Lee Bryant of Gatlinburg and 29-year-old Seth Priddy of Strawplains.

Both 22-year-old Taylor Cross of Sevierville and 37-year-old Wayne Cross of Sevierville face two counts for sale and delivery of Schedule III Burenorphine.

Timothy Roberson, 47, and Jeffrey Riggs Jr., 26, face charges for one count manufacturing marijuana.

Natalie Freeman, 33, of Kodak faces charges for one count for sale and delivery of Schedule VI Marijuana.

Both 19-year-old Colton Ty Huskey and 55-year-old Debra McMillan face charges for sale and delivery of Schedule II Oxymorphone.

Ronald Whisnant Jr, 38, faces charges for one count for sale and delivery of Schedule VI drugs in excess of 1/2 ounces.

All of the suspects who were arrested on Tuesday except for Bryant and Priddy were taken to Sevier County Jail. Bryant is currently in federal custody. Priddy is currently in Knox County jail. According to officials more arrests are expected when they are able to find the other suspects.
