The truck driver who died in Monday's crash has been identified as Rupert Halstead, 52, of Russellville, Ark.

Officials say Halstead was traveling eastbound on I-40 near mm 341 when his truck veered off the right shoulder as the road curved left.

Halstead over-corrected the curve and his truck overturned on the roadway.

Both eastbound lanes were reopened on I-40 eastbound Monday night after the highway was shut down for several hours.

Officials say all passenger vehicles were cleared within a couple of hours, but a few tractor trailers were stuck because it was harder to turn them around.

THP says it also kept traffic moving by diverting drivers off the highway and around the accident.
