UPDATE: A Roane County murder suspect is back in East Tennessee. The Roane County jail confirmed Saturday evening that Shawn Smoot was booked into the jail.
Smoot is charged in the death of Brooke Morris, his ex-girlfriend and employee.
Smoot was arrested in Mississippi after he failed to turn himself in following his indictment by a grand jury.
Roane County deputies went to Mississippi to pick Smoot up. They returned to East Tennessee on Saturday.

Shawn Smoot was arrested without incident in Pearl River County, Mississippi, by Sheriff David Allison around 9:30 Tuesday night, according to Bill Reedy, Assistant District Attorney Genreal for Roand County. A tip lead the sheriff to Smoot's location.
Smoot failed to turn himself in Monday after being indicted on first-degree murder charges in the shooting death of 23-year-old Brooke Nicole Morris.
Smoot is being held without bond on a fugitive from justice warrant, awaiting a hearing that will lead to him being sent back to Roane County to stand trial.
