The AYSO National Games wrapped up Sunday night, and event organizers say it was a huge success for Knoxville.
More than 200 teams competed in the National Games over the past several days.
Several local teams qualified for the quarter finals, but none advanced to the semi-finals.
One Knoxville boys team, The Force, won the sportsmanship award for its under 10 category. Sportsmanship is one of the main focuses of the organization.
"It's really positive coaching, positive players on the field, positive parent sideline behavior and all of those things are what AYSO is all about. So, they got a perfect score in sportsmanship, and it takes a lot to get that," said Dianne Stratton, AYSO National Games venue chair.
More than 9,000 athletes competed, along with all the coaches and spectators who came to Knoxville for the games.
