UT program helps students make a career switch to nursing

This week, accelerated nursing students at the University of Tennessee will graduate. The year-long program is aimed at people who already have degrees and jobs in another field who are making a career switch to nursing.

Several of the students who are about to graduate also received scholarship money as part of a grant to fill the nation's nursing shortage.

Joining us with more is Dr. Gary Ramsey, undergraduate program chair of the College of Nursing, and soon-to-be accelerated nursing graduate Theresa Benedikter joined us in the 10News studio to talk about the program. You can watch the entire conversation in the video above.
