Heroes and lawyers gathered in Downtown Knoxville on Saturday as part of the national "Wills for Heroes" program.
Knoxville area firefighters, police officers, paramedics and EMT's, also known as heroes, brought their spouses along to receive free wills and basic estate planning from local lawyers.
Sixty couples received the free service on Saturday and over 700 first responders across Tennessee have taken part in the program.
"They are in the line of fire everyday. There is always a risk that something will happen to them. We thought this was a good way to say thank you to them and make sure that, if something did happen, their spouses are taken care of of," said Mike Baisley of the Tennessee Bar Association Young Lawyers Division.
The Tennessee Bar Association and it's Young Lawyers Division along with dozen's of volunteer attorney's held Saturday's event.
