A Pigeon Forge neighborhood was under water early Wednesday morning after strong rains hit the area.

House after house in the Kings Hill subdivision was surrounded by water.  Neighbors there told WBIR after rain storms, the area typically succumbs to flooding.

"I [live] high, but I still worry about the water," said 11-year resident Lois Fusko.

The city said it has widened ditches and refurbished pipes in an effort to correct the problem.  However, assistant city manager Eric Brackins said the problem is a hard one to fix.  He said the subdivision lies in a flood zone and permanent fix would likely be costly.

"We try to do everything we can to lessen the problem," Brackins said.

Dharam Hemrajani said he was less then pleased about the city's performance, however.

He said the city has not helped him.  When asked how the flooding made him feel, Hemrajani responded, "How you feel?  If you are in my place, how do you feel?"
