Around 200 hockey fans flocked to the Knoxville Civic Auditorium for the Ice Bears post-season send-off.
The team's season ended over the weekend with a 1-0 loss to Pensacola, coming up short of the SPHL championship series.
Knoxville led the league in regular season attendance, and Coach Mike Craigen wanted to give the fans one more chance to celebrate the team.
"It's always nice to get the guys together one last time and give the fans one last, ya know, moment of appreciation not only for the guys themselves but for the guys to see the fans one last time. Obviously we fell a little bit short of our goal this year and that's disappointing for us so this isn't a night that we really love to have and love to be here, but we also know we have to recognize the people that make it possible for us to be here doing the job we love every year so, yeah, it was a good night to have everyone together," said Coach Craigen.
