As thousands of students begin a new semester this week on the UT campus, one family is adding a significant boost to the freshman enrollment.
TherMcCarty brothers are quadruplets, and their biblical names aren't difficult to remember: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
Three of them started their freshman year at UT this fall, and the fourth, Mark, plans to live in Knoxville while attending a different school.
"We're going to get together from time to time!" they said.
Already, the brothers are making news on campus.
"To me, it's kind of funny because a lot of people think it's so remarkable," said John. "To me, it's just my life. No big deal."
Matthew, Luke and John are all enrolled in the campus ROTC program, and learned they share a few classes. John plans to major in Spanish, while the other two focus on law enforcement. Each is interested in a potential military career after college.
