Raising awareness and reducing the stigma of mental illness was the goal at Friday's Community Awareness Celebration.
More than two dozen organizations were out on Market Square letting people know about local resources for mental illnesses.
The Helen Ross McNabb Center and the Behavioral Health Awareness Coalition teamed up for this event as part of Mental Illness Awareness Week.
"We have a lot of people with mental illness, and making the community aware of mental health will help our community," said Sheliia Williams.
Union Ave. Books also has a special art display up for Mental Illness Awareness Week.
