Back by popular demand, the city of Maryville is offering a product that could help your home's garden, and the best part is, it's free.
All this week, the city is giving away free compost. All you have to do is bring a pick-up truck or utility trailer to the regional waste water treatment plant in Louisville.
The compost is a mixture of sludge and wood chips. Officials say it has excellent quality that's rich in nutrients.
"It's excellent for gardens and flower beds. It's not great for fill dirt, but it's great for gardens," said Steve Law, the waste water plant superintendent.
The free compost is available all week until Friday. You can pick it up from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
