Denver, CO (Sports Network) - Royce O'Neale tallied a double-double with 17
points and 10 rebounds as the Denver Pioneers made easy work of the Nebraska
Omaha Mavericks, 82-47, in a non-conference bout at Magness Arena.
Chase Hallam drained 4-of-6 from three-point range for 12 points for Denver
(3-5), while Chris Udofia, Brett Olson, and Nate Engesser scored 11 points
apiece. Cam Griffin chipped in 10 points, and Udofia added eight assists, five
boards, and three blocks.
Alex Welhouse scored 12 points and grabbed six rebounds for Omaha (2-10),
which has lost five in a row.
Denver shot a lofty 68 percent from the field in the opening half, while Omaha
made just 30 percent of its field goal attempts, as the Pioneers got out to a
commanding 45-15 lead at intermission.
The Pioneers led by as many as 40 in the second half.
Denver was fantastic from three-point range, connecting on 14-of-24 from
beyond the arc.
