A month after finishing her record-setting swimming career, Tennessee senior Kelsey Floyd received another honor this week: an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship.

In addition to being a leader for the Lady Vols on the pool deck, Floyd has also been one of Tennessee's top performers in the classroom. Now finishing her degree in Recreation and Sport Management, Floyd has been recognized nationally for her academics by the swimming and athletics communities.

She has been named a Capital One Academic All-American and was listed last year on the 2012 Scholar All-America Team. she is also a three-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll.

The NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship is for $7,500.

Floyd finished her career with the most All-America honors in program history with 24, earning six of them as a senior. She swam a leg on all three of the Lady Vols' NCAA championship relay teams in March, helping Tennessee to a third-place finish in the team standings, the best result in program history.

In SEC competition, Floyd was a star there too. She won 16 medals in her conference career, including six gold. Individually, her highlight was taking gold in the 200-yard butterfly in 2012. She helped the Lady Vols win five SEC relay titles. She swam the butterfly leg of the conference record-setting 200 medley relay team this season.

Floyd isn't done with swimming just yet, however. She is set to represent Team USA at the World University Games this summer in Russia.
