McLemore Florist and Gifts is hosting the Bugs and Blooms Festival.
The celebration will take place Saturday, June 29, 2013 from noon until 4 p.m.
Volkswagen's will be on display from many generations.A vendor will sell BBQ and the band Swamp Ghost will provide live music.

Knoxville Fire Department

The Knoxville Fire Department will take part in a Tug-of-War contest against the Knoxville Police Department at 5pm on July 4 at World's Fair Park Festival Lawn.

Rubber Duck Race

Yellow rubber ducks will enter the water at World's Fair Park at 2:02 the afternoon of July 4th.The annual duck race nets prizes for winners and much needed funds for the Boys and Girls Club of the Tennessee Valley.The ducks travel from place to place to be part of fundraisers for various groups. At each stop volunteers must take off the tags on the ducks and then replace the tags with new ones.You can adopt a duck at the event July 4th or sign up.
Our own Russell Biven is an Honorary Co-Chair of the duck race.

Patriotic Festival

Thursday, June 27, 2013 
5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 27th.

Among the activities for the festival, organized by the City's Special Events Office, are a Patriotic Bike Parade through downtown for all ages, children's entertainment, and live music from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Registration for the Bike Parade is available on-site or at www.cityofknoxville.org/events/4th/parade.pdf.

At 6 p.m., judging will begin for the best decorated bike. There will be prizes awarded for the following categories: Family, Adult, Teenager, Child 7-12, and Child 6 and under. To compete in the best decorated contest, you must be registered and at Market Square by 5:45 p.m.

The Patriotic Bike Parade will officially begin at 6:30 p.m. and will parade up Gay Street to Magnolia, Magnolia to Williams, Williams to Depot, and back down Gay Street to Clinch Avenue. The parade will finish at Market Street and Union Avenue.
