Sweet Drop Biscuits
2 cups all purpose flour, softened
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup sugar
3 tablespoons chilled butter, cut into bits
1 cup whole milk
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
Preheat oven to 425 °. Grease 2 baking sheets. In a large bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder, and salt . Cut in butter until mixture is mealy. Add milk and eggs, then stir until the flour is dampened. Stir in pecans. Drop dough by rounded teaspoons onto the prepared pan. In a small bowl , mix 1 tablespoon sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle the mounds with the mixture. Bake until golden. About 12 minutes.
