There was a familiar face back at the Tennessee Vols practice this afternoon at Thompson-Boling Arena.
Freshman Jordan McRae was at practice for the first time since being indefinitely suspended by head coach Bruce Pearl on January 22nd.
McRae has not participated in any team-related activities in the interim, and will not accompany the team on its trip to Tuesday's game at Kentucky.
Here is more on McRae's return from the University of Tennessee:
Tennessee head coach Bruce Pearl announced Monday that freshman guard Jordan McRae has been reinstated to the team. The Midway, Ga., native was placed on indefinite suspension Jan. 22 for violating team conduct rules. Since that time, he has not taken part in any team-related activities.
McRae will participate in UT's practice Monday afternoon in Knoxville but will not accompany the team to Lexington, Ky., for Tuesday's game against 18th-ranked Kentucky. He will take part in all team-related activities, including travel, after the Vols return from the Bluegrass State.
McRae has played in nine games this season, averaging 2.0 points in 5.7 minutes per contest.
