A Cocke County man is accused of stabbing his sister and nephew to death in their home.
According to the Cocke County Sheriff's Department, deputies were called to a home on Roy Road in Cosby on Sunday night, around 11:15.
They were confronted by a man with a knife, who was identified as Thomas McCusker, 56. Inside the home, deputies found two people who had been stabbed to death. The victims were Joanne Day, 52, McCusker's sister, and her son. Robert Justin Day, 25, who was McCusker's nephew.
A 17 year old girl who lived at the residence is being interviewed about the events that took place.
McCusker told deputies he was upset about beer that had been taken from his room and the abuse he had suffered over the years.
McCusker is charged with two counts of first degree murder, and is being held on $500,000 bond in the Cocke County Jail.
