A babysitter faces charges after neighbors found a two-year-old child home alone on Monday morning.
According to the Knox County Sheriff's Office, 29-year-old Amy Gann was babysitting the child when she left the residence and left the child locked in an upstairs bedroom.
Witnesses told officials they saw the child beating on the window and crying. After they tried to contact someone inside the home, they found the back door unlocked.
The child was left in the upstairs bedroom alone. The neighbors called officials close to 10:30 a.m.
Officers arrested Gann when she returned to the residence. Her bond is set at $2,000.
The child's mother said she found Gann's babysitting ad on Craigs List and she thought she was a reputable babysitter.
