Some East Tennesee residents will now have a new source to download digital books. Oak Ridge Public Library will launch an e-book and audiobook program at the start of the new year.
Library card users can check out books on all kinds of e-readers. The library started with a soft launch in mid-December, but is officially kicking off the program on January 3rd and 4th.
The library currently has just under 200 e-books and has been building its collection since the fall.
People will also have access to more than 3,000 Project Gutenberg Books. Those are free, downloadable books in the public domain.
