The Tennessee Highway patrol is investigating a fatal accident on I-40W
in Cocke County that killed a North Charleston, SC woman Wednesday
According to a trooper who was on the scene of the accident, it appears as if the woman's husband, Dustin Michael Guenther, 21-years-old, fell asleep while driving west on I-40 around 6:40 a.m.
The 1994 Chevy Cavalier he was driving hit a cable barrier and rolled over several times.
His wife, 20-year-old Patricia Diane Guenther, was ejected. She did not survive the crash.
The driver was treated for minor injuries at Newport Hospital.
Both were wearing their seat belts.
