A Roane County teacher is under investigation, amid concerns he may have had an inappropriate relationship with a female student.
The Roane County Sheriff's Office is investigating the actions of Jeff King, a former teacher and boys basketball coach at Harriman High School.
The investigation started after the student was accused of breaking into King's home in early June.
The Roane County Director of Schools says King was transferred from Harriman to Ridge View Elementary School in mid-June, but he resigned from the system altogether over the weekend.
The sheriff's office is working with the District Attorney General's office to determine what, if any, charges will be filed.
