Vols defensive lineman Mo Couch is used to dual roles.
Not only is he a student-athlete, but he also has multiple roles at home, as a husband and father.

His day starts on the field as an intimidating defensive force and ends at home catering to the needs of a toddler and wife. Each day is full in the life of Vols defensive lineman mo couch.

"Usually I'm up at about six; I have like three alarms," Couch said. "I go to the complex, get ready, and go to meetings then we go to practice. You have study hall and I come home and be daddy and husband."

Stephanie Couch is there to greet him along with his young daughter Ahmya. "Once he gets home at night to help me with her, feed her, and give her a bath," said Stephanie. "She's definitely a daddy's girl. We make it work."

After dating for two years, Mo and Stephanie were married just before fall camp last season. As a junior college transfer, Couch had a lot to get used to when he arrived in Knoxville.
Vols Head Coach Derek Dooley was not worried.

"It was tough on Mo last year," according to Dooley. "Everybody says 'what's going on with Mo?' It's a big adjustment. You're coming here, you're getting married, you're having a baby, you're playing major college football. But boy he has really worked at it and he's just focused on being a good dad, and I'm really proud of 'em."
