The City People Home Tour showcased nine homes throughout Downtown Knoxville on Sunday.
People got to peek inside urban lofts, town homes and condos, while learning about what the downtown area has to offer its residents. The home tours gave people the opportunity to find out which jobs, parking, shopping, eating and recreation are available downtown.
Event organizers said this tour has helped the downtown area grow to over 2,000 people during the past few years. They say many people who participated in this tour decided to move downtown afterwards.
Among the nine homes featured during this year's tour, James White Fort was showcased as Knoxville's first downtown home.
Proceeds from this tour will go towards organizations that fund downtown causes like James White Fort, "Shakespeare in the Square" and the "Market Square Farmers' Market.
