The number of fungal meningitis cases have increased both in Tennessee and the US on Sunday.
The Centers for Disease Control reported the number of cases in Tennessee was 53, up from one over the past 24-hours.
The number of reported deaths in the state remains at six total.
More than 200 people across 14 states have contracted meningitis through this outbreak and 15 people have died.
Health officials determined on Friday that a June shipment of epidural steroids was not part of a recalled batch that has been linked to the deadly fungal meningitis outbreak.
