Monroe Co. inmate who stole truck at work site back in custody

A Monroe County inmate who stole a truck and drove away from work site a week ago has turned himself in.

Ricky Gennoe turned himself in to the sheriff's department around 6 pm Tuesday night.  He now faces additional charges.

(October 16, 2012) The Monroe County Sheriff's Department is looking for an inmate who stole a car and left a work site Tuesday at Hiwassee College.

Officials say Ricky Gennoe, who was serving time for burglary, was a trusty on a maintenance detail at the college.  Around 1:00 pm, Gennoe stole a 2003 silver Toyota Tacoma truck and left.  The truck has Tennessee tags 921-RKL with an "In memory of Larry Booher" sticker in the back window.

Gennoe, 36, is 6'3" and weighs 250 pounds.
