The Red Cross still needs your help with relief efforts. Right now, there are more than 9,000 volunteers who have set up 171 Red Cross shelters in 13 states.

The Red Cross has 29 volunteers helping out from East Tennessee. Seventeen of them are from Knoxville.

Stan Gilbert, director of the Knoxville Red Cross, said the Red Cross has already served more than 100,000 meals and snacks. He urges everyone to donate because clean-up and relief efforts will take a while.

"We've deployed disaster workers, response vehicle... all the donations are going to support that effort," he said.

If you'd like to help, text "Red Cross" to 90999. You can also make a donation on their website at redcross.org.
