A 24-year-old Knoxville man was shot when he demanded his money's worth of drugs according to police.
In a press release, a Knoxville Police Department spokesman says Brandon Creswell, 24, of Knoxville believed he had been shorted in an illegal drug sale Tuesday night.
Police say Creswell called the suspects who supplied the drugs demanding the rest of his drugs.
When the suspects returned to meet Creswell in a parking lot on Cook Dr. around 9:37 p.m., he and the suspect exchanged gunfire. Creswell was shot in the shoulder.
A stray bullet struck an occupied apartment window. But no one was injured.
The suspect drove away in a brown older model box style Chevy Caprice.
Creswell has not made up his mind whether he will prosecute the suspects.
Creswell was being treated at UT Medical Center. He has since been released.
