A combination of low humidity and gusty winds is fueling dangerous fire conditions across East Tennessee.

Saturday crews responded to four new fires in Campbell and Scott Counties, located near existing fires. The Assistant District Forester, Nathan Waters, said all of the fires were suspected arson.

Waters said two firefighters were slightly injured while working to get the blazes under control.

Forestry crews will be rechecking  fires in Anderson, Scott and Campbell counties Sunday. Firefighters will also continue trying to get containment lines around a large Westborne Mountain fire in Campbell county.

WBIR will have the latest updates on-air at 6 p.m. Sunday.
