A one-time Congressional candidate who welcomed President Obama to Tennessee with a picture of a gun is now accused of attacking his wife.
Nashville police arrested Brad Staats over the weekend. He's accused of hitting his wife, and investigators say the woman had a red mark to prove it.
Staats made headlines back in October after he posted a photo of a handgun and the words "Welcome to Tennessee, Mr. Obama" on Facebook. He said it wasn't a threat, but support of the Second Amendment.
Staats lost the election to an incumbent Democratic U.S. Representative out of Nashville.
