Knoxville police have released more information about a fatal overnight crash in East Knoxville.

Investigators say a 2006 Honda Civic, driven by Daniel Coombes, 46, of Doswell, Virginia, hydroplaned and hit the left front of a semi-truck.  The truck's driver, Kyle Whitlow, 24, of Westmoreland,
lost control and began to jack knife.  The truck slid off the right side of the road and overturned onto the driver's side.  The passenger in the sleeper section of the cab, Aaron W. Wilkerson, 45, of Lafayette, was killed.  The two drivers were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Asheville Highway was shut down for several hours after the crash.
