Firefighters battled a house fire in Louisville Sunday after a man cooking left the kitchen and came back to smoke.
Chief Doug Mclanahan said the home, located on the 3200 block of Louisville Road, is considerably damaged after flames ripped through.
McClanahan said the man burned his hair but was helped by paramedics on the scene and was not transported to the hospital.
With several roofs and extensions, McClanahan said fighting the fire was a little challenging.
Crews were able to respond quickly since the station is only a couple of minutes away from the home.
A few things may be salvageable, but no word yet on whether pets survived.
