Two Knoxville men are facing attempted first degree murder and especially aggravated kidnapping charges following a shooting at Arbor Place Apartments.

The shooting occurred around 8:30 p.m. Monday night at the apartment complex on Hall of Fame Drive.

A spokesman with the Knoxville Police Department says Tyler Dean, 22, Clifton of Maynardville was visiting a friend at the complex when he was confronted by two suspects.

When officers arrived to answer a shots fired call, police say Bryan King, 24, and Rythm Proffitt, 19, were seen leaving the scene.

Dean was taken to UT Medical Center with a gunshot wound.

Officers then found the two suspects taking them to the jail for questioning.

King, who lives in Knoxville, is being held on $500,000 bond.

Proffitt, who also lives in Knoxville, is being charged with possession of a firearm with intent to go armed and use of a firearm during a dangerous felony in addition to the previous two charges.  He is being held on a $510,000 bond.
