Knoxville firefighters put out a fire in a South Knox County home shortly before 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

The driver, who reported the fire, saw flames coming from a residence near the intersection of Edington and Willoughby.  Shortly after 2:00 p.m., the Knoxville Fire Department responded to the property, and crews were able to put out the flames within the first 20 minutes on scene.

Firefighters said the fire started in the rear bedroom, but nobody was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.

According to a press release, if further investigation is needed, the fire department will turn over the case to Knox County Sheriff's Department. Officials have not released what sparked the fire at this time.
