AAA of East Tennessee is offering free rides home for those who party too hard during the holidays.
The Tow to Go program kicks off Friday in Knox County and goes through New Year's Day, taking intoxicated drivers and their cars home for free.
AAA, Eagle Distributing, and the Metropolitan Drug Commission want drivers to use the program as a last resort.
They all agree it's better to use the program instead of driving drunk.
"In a lot of cases the drunk driver or the person who caused the crash is not the one who loses their life. It's an innocent victim and so it's a public safety issue and we want to keep our community safe and we don't want to have any tragedies during the holiday season," said Karen Pershing, Executive Director, Metropolitan Drug Commission
