Some folks who are spending Christmas in hospitals across Knoxville will get a special delivery from Random Acts of Flowers.

Volunteers loaded trucks with poinsettias to take to patients, thanks to donations from some local garden centers.

Random Acts of Flowers is delivering hundreds of flower arrangements to folks in six area hospitals. They started Monday afternoon with a delivery to the Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Center.

"I really enjoy delivering to Patricia Neal because these patients a lot of times are more long-term than most of our hospital partners, so I think just having somebody stop by and bring them something is big for them, much bigger than it would be for somebody that's only in the hospital for two or three days," said Director of Operations Sage Morgan.

Random Acts of Flowers recently delivered over 18,000 bouquets in the City of Knoxville, which brings their total value of donations to over $1 million in Knoxville.
