Eight people are facing charges after Greene County Sheriff's deputies discovered a meth lab in Greeneville.

The lab was discovered at 35 Peppermint Lane Saturday morning, while deputies were serving a warrant for aggravated robbery.

A report says Greene county emergency services transported seven people to the hospital for hazardous chemicals decontamination, and then took them into custody, while an eighth was hospitalized for other medical issues not related to methamphetamine exposure.

All eight people were arrested and face drug related charges, and the home has been quarantined. More than $1,000 was seized from the scene.

Additional charges are also pending because a woman inside the residence was eight months pregnant, violating "Haley's Law".

Haley's Law increases charges to the level of felony when child abuse is involved.
