An Old City business owner has plans to improve one of the neighborhood's most iconic buildings.

The former home of Patrick Sullivan's Saloon on the corner of Jackson and Central sits empty since the restaurant closed in the summer of 2011.

Now Randy Boyd says he is working to buy the property in hopes of finding a new tenant to reopen it to the public. Boyd has yet to close on the deal, but once he does, he'll begin renovations.

Boyd is the owner of Boyd's Jig and Reel directly across the street, and is the CEO of Petsafe.
