A wall at an East Tennessee high school serves to honor educators and send more students to college.

The commemorative wall at Campbell County High School sits just outside the gym and already features 100 tiles. Each one honors a favorite educator.

Organizers say the mission is three-fold: pay tribute to teachers, raise money for scholarships, and honor the legacy of Assistant Principal Ken Bruce who was shot and killed at the school back in 2005.

"It's an opportunity to keep my husband's memory alive and his vision alive, which was to help children in this community move forward, and this is how we're going to do it," said Jo Bruce.

The school has already awarded $21,000 for scholarships in the name of Ken Bruce. The latest tile sales project has boosted that scholarship fund by more than $3,000.

Donors can purchase a tile for $50.
