A Knoxville woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning on Dutch Valley Drive at Plummer Road.
According to a Knoxville Police Department spokesman, 76-year-old Jewell Davis was driving a Nissan Altima on Plummer Road at Dutch Valley, when she pulled into the path of a 2002 Dodge Durango that was traveling west on Dutch Valley Drive.
One person was killed and three others were injured in a North Knoxville crash Tuesday morning.
The accident happened around 7:40 am, at the intersection of Dutch Valley Drive and Plummer Road.
According to Knoxville Police investigators, the driver of a 2005 Nissan Altima stopped at a stop sign on Plummer Road at Dutch Valley, then pulled into the path of a 2002 Dodge Durango that was traveling west on Dutch Valley Drive.
The two vehicles collided. The driver of the Altima, whose name has not been released, was transported to UT Medical Center where she later died. She was not wearing seatbelt.
The driver of the Durango, Beth Scates, 32, of Knoxville, was also not wearing a seatbelt. She and two children in the car, a 6-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl were all transports to UT Medical Center with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. Neither of the children were properly restrained in the vehicle, and charges are pending.
Update 8:46 a.m.
Four people including two children were taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle wreck on Dutch Valley Drive and Plummer Tuesday morning.
A spokesman with the Knoxville Police Department says a woman and two children were traveling in a Dodge SUV.
An elderly woman was traveling in a Nissan.
Emergency crews took all four to UT Medical Center.

Emergency crews responded to a wreck on Dutch Valley Drive at Plummer Road around 7:40 a.m. Tuesday.
Dispatchers with the Knox County E-911 Center say the accident involved a black SUV or van versus a silver car.
