Princeton Review ranked University of Tennessee among the top 75 public colleges and universities in value.

According to its 2013 Best Value survey, UT is one five Tennessee schools, which delivers an affordable and high quality education.

Princeton Review's "Best Value Colleges for 2013" ranks the top 150 best value colleges. Seventy-five of those colleges were private, and the other 75 were private.

Median Debts at best value schools come in lower than national averages. Less than half of students at those schools took out undergraduate loans.

The ranking compared 30 data points of public and private schools that include cost, financial aid and other student and academic metric. The top colleges and universities were selected from more than 650 institutions.

Chancellor Jimmy Cheek said it's a great honor for the university.

"Many of our goals in our Top 25 journey relate to academic quality and the overall student experience," Cheek said in a release. "We're focused on supporting our students so that they graduate in four years and minimize their overall costs."

This is the second year in a row, UT's diversity and environment were recognized in national rankings.
