The Haiti Outreach Program organized a dress sale this weekend to help Haitian children get a better education.
Last Saturday the Haiti Outreach Program held the "Fierce and Fancy Formal Fashion Show" to model some of those dresses. Hundreds of people donated dresses for the benefit.
Some of those dresses went on sale Saturday and are priced at $25-$125. All items are discounted, and all the money raised will go towards school supplies and desks for a high school in Haiti.
Volunteer Chelsea Angelo said even the smallest gift goes a long way for these Haitian students.
"These children in these villages, they're hardly clinging to hope," said Angelo. "They don't have anything. For us to give a small amount of happiness or education for them is really a rewarding experience."
Organizers said they hope to raise up to $10,000 through the fundraiser. The dress sale continues until Sunday, Feb. 17 from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. The store is in West Knoxville on Executive Park Drive.
