Thousands of Knox County middle and high school students filled the Knoxville Expo Center Tuesday to learn a little about potential careers.
Nearly 100 area employers participated in the annual Knox County Schools Career Day. Students talked with various employers to learn more about their jobs and explore possible career paths. The fair also hosted a few colleges to discuss options in post-secondary education.
Parents say the fair really helps them figure out what they can do to help their children get their dream jobs.
"Being on this side of it, you don't know what it takes to get tot be in a K-9 unit or whatever she wants to do, so you learn the steps of what can maybe give you a super burst into it or something like that," said parent Lesley Blevins.
The career fair was free and open to all Knox County eighth graders, high schoolers, and their parents.
