About a thousand people turned out for Junior League of Knoxville's "Bag-A-Bargin" in East Knoxville Saturday afternoon.
For nearly 30 years, the event has sold second-hand clothing, electronics, holiday decor and arts-and-crafts among other items.
Over the past year, Junior League of Knoxville members, businesses and others have collected donations for the fundraiser.
Beverly Miller with the Junior League said all the money raised today goes towards community programs.
"All the money we receive today goes back into the community. A few of those are the YWCA, Knox County Schools, Character Counts and Kids in the Kitchen to name a few of those programs," said Miller.
Organizers said they raised $75,000 last year, and they hope to raise more this year.
